Thigh Highs and Tassels

Seen as I now have Fridays off university, Emma and I decided to take a trip to our local green spot of Greenhead Park. Even though we only live 5 minutes away we never went to explore it in the past and I'm so glad we decided to. Its so much bigger than I first thought and there are so many nice locations for future blog photos so keep your eyes peeled. Living in Yorkshire you can never tell what the weather is going to do and today it proved exactly that. Such a sunny morning and as soon as we set off to take the photos, you guessed it, it started raining.

Of course this gave me the perfect excuse to wrap up warm and cosy. I hadn't worn my thigh high boots in a while so I seized the opportunity and I really think that it completes the look. The tassels on this blouse are what really caught my eye and i just had to snap it up as theres so many ways you can style it. I opted for grey Joni jeans, my black fur gilet, Zara suede coat and big fluffy scarf from H&M to keep me warm and toasty.

Ive recently picked up some new key pieces for spring which will be making an appearance soon so keep an eye out as I'm so excited to style these beauties. Thats all for now though!

Coated Joni

After recently purchasing a pair of Coated Joni jeans from Topshop, I wanted to share my love for these little beauties. At first, I just wore them for nights out and special occasions but I wanted to style them with more casual outfits and dress them down to wear for university. I was really happy with how this outfit came together as I feel they add an edgy element almost biker like to the outfit. I paired it with a new striped shirt I picked up from Zara on my recent trip to Manchester. It is so comfy and I can't wait to style this shirt in future blog posts.

I've been looking for some new flat boots for some time now and after ordering these boots online and my order being cancelled I was so happy to find them in the Manchester Arndale Topshop store. They're so comfy and the wrap around buckle detailing is something that just adds another element to the boots. To finish off the outfit I added my suede Zara biker jacket from the TRAFALUX collection. I love laid back looks and with being a full time uni student and working part time, outfits that I can throw on yet still look put together are what I look for and I look forward to creating more looks in this style to show you.

Manchester Art Gallery

With the most recent visual studies project underway, I decided to take a trip to Manchester Art Gallery to help me with my research into Art Fashion. I wanted to look at a variety of different artists to try and find the direction I wanted to go in and I thought a trip to the gallery was the perfect opportunity. Also giving me the perfect opportunity for another blog post!

As I knew I was going to have a long day on my feet, I definitely wanted to be comfy so I wore my puma trainers to get me through the day. I wanted to be very casual so I went for oversized white shirt to which i added a belt to bring it in at the waist. Seen as I live in the north of England and you never know what the weather is going to do I wanted to layer up so I wore my black fur gilet over the top. I finished off the look with my grey Joni jeans and brown belted coat. I had such a lovely day and saw a lot of art that would help me with this new project. I'll make sure i keep you updated with how its all going!

I also had a haircut if you didn't notice from my last post, feels so good to finally be rid of my mushroom!
